| NASA, Certain chamber shapes require fewer than three acoustic drivers. Most previous work on acoustic levitation has dealt with rectangular chambers. Three drivers excite the chamber along three orthogonal axes - x, y, and z. The three drivers must be used simultaneously to position an object at the center of the chamber, where they create a point of minimum acoustic potential. |
